Pinterest, if you haven’t heard, is a virtual pinboard that lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web or in your world. I’ve gathered photos of a few of the places and things i love about Solana Beach and created a Solana Beach Pinterest board. Everyone is welcome to add their favorite Solana Beach photos to the pin board.

Fletcher Cove Beach is just big enough to bring family and friends but not so big that other areas will use it as a destination.

The restyled quonset huts and newer modern buildings in the Cedros Design District and scattered about the 101 in an array of interesting colors are a lovely feast for our eyes.

One of my favorite areas of Solana Beach is our fabulous linear park on coast highway101. It truly represents what Solana Beach is all about; Accessible public spaces, public art, respect for the environment and a little excercise while you’re there…
Pinterest is so simple, that for some, it may seem a waste of time. However, I think that thought misses the point. Many of the most enjoyable things in life are quite simple. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t enjoy beautiful pictures of people or places they love?
Whether you’ve never been to Solana Beach or live here and love it, check us out on Pinterest and add your favorite Solana Beach photos….

You might have heard. Pinterest really took off last year. I have several friends and clients who rave about it. Ok…they’re addicted…So, I decided to see what all the commotion was about. At first, I didn’t get it…The photos were definitely beautiful and i really liked how organized everything was but i couldn’t really see spending much time on the site…
I decided to join the fray but had low expectations. I figured it would kind of like Facebook in terms of time, I thought, get in and get out. I love photography. I already had beautiful local photos of Del Mar, Carmel Valley, La Jolla, Solana Beach and Encinitas that my my client and friend, Joes Siler had taken. I thought it would be nice to display some beautiful photography of the north county coastal communities we love so much.
It didn’t take long at all for me to change my mind. First of all, Pinterest is really really fun. As human’s we’re all incredibly visual individuals. We like to share what we love. It is very satisfying to display images that you are passionate about and find out that other people are passionate about them too! You feel validated. They repinned your image! They like you
or so it seems at that moment…
I quickly saw that Pinterest could be more than just a fun way to browse neat photography. I began to envision many ways i could follow and display my own personal interests and help my clients, stage, remodel and organize their own homes before they sell or just for their own enjoyment. For example, my passions for small space design, succulents, banquettes, bookcases, green living, are really relevant for condo buyers and sellers on the coast. I now see that Pinterest is a great way to communicate and educate the endless design possibilities that exist for condo sellers and buyers.
Now I envision all different kinds of Pinterest boards in my future, the only question is where to start. The possibilities are endless. I’m really looking forward to Pinterest now…check out some of my Pinterest boards if you’re curious what all the hype is… http://pinterest.com/cherylbray2/
